Meet Penny!

This sweet island girl just arrived from PR.  Penny is 4 years old, about 25 lbs, spayed, and fully vetted.

She was sadly abandoned at one of our rescue centers but has proven to be resilient and affectionate. Inside Penny is a happy, loving girl who adores belly rubs, playing fetch, and giving kisses. She sleeps comfortably in her crate, eats well, and loves being near her humans.

Outside, Penny is learning leash walking and adjusting to new sights and sounds. She is curious about the world around her.

Her foster family says she’s doing wonderfully:

Potty trained — only one accident so far! She can hold it overnight and goes out every few hours during the day.

Knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “ah-ah (no),” and is working on “drop it.”

Low-to-medium energy.  She enjoys short play sessions, gets the zoomies now and then, but mostly loves lounging and naps.

Gentle and sensitive — she’ll thrive with patient adopters who can give her time to feel secure and loved.

Penny is currently adjusting to life as an only dog in an apartment, which is a big change from where she came from. She’s learning quickly and showing her sweet, loyal personality more every day.
