Meet Percy!

Percy is the ultimate snuggle bunny and a true heart-stealer. This sweet island boy sticks by his person’s side 24/7 and lives for affection. He’s learned to politely sit and settle before getting pets when his foster gets home, and his happy personality is really shining through. When Percy wags his tail, his whole body wiggles right along with it—pure joy in dog form.

Percy is about 1 year old and weighs around 20 lbs. He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and he especially loves following his foster buddy, Marshmallow, wherever he goes. He walks beautifully on leash, enjoys going on walks, and doors—once scary—aren’t a problem anymore. His bark is even adorable… it sounds like a little short howl!

Like many pups who didn’t have the easiest start, Percy is still a bit nervous around men and sudden noises, but the progress he’s made over the past couple of months has been incredible. He’ll happily lounge near his foster dad on the couch (as long as mom isn’t home ), and his confidence continues to grow every day.

Percy was born with one underdeveloped eye and recently had it removed. He’s recovering beautifully and should be out of the cone soon—but truly, he doesn’t know any different and it doesn’t slow him down one bit.
